The effect of annual budget timing on revenue?

Could it be...?

Many companies run their budgets either from Jan to Jan or starting at the tax year (not their accounting year).

So would it be reasonable to assume that there's a macro effect at work through the year, where especially towards the year end Adsense revenues are likely to reduce (this assumes many companies head towards overspend not underspend!)

There's now 11 separate pages on the up/down thread.
Aren't there any takers for this - it might be relevant - or am I talking complete gobbledegook?

While this kind of thing could be a factor for individual companies, I doubt its effect would be observable across AdSense as a whole.

Internet traffic is very seasonal, as are many businesses. IMO those factors would have a far greater effect than budget deadlines.

It may be a big factor for big companies. But in our niche, the Adwords advertisers are mostly small businesses with an occasional big guy thrown in that I doubt they even have a budgeting cycle. They simply ran out of budget every so often.
