...You also agree not to display any other text-based or content-targeted advertisement(s) on the same Web page in connection with which an Ad Unit or any Ad is displayed.
Does this mean that I can place my own text based ads that are clearly marked as my own in the same basic format as the Adsense ads on those pages on my site where I don't include the adsense code/adsense ad units?
Does anyone know about this? I just want to be sure that I don't cause myself problems with Google.
Why not put a "demo" of your own ads on one page and submit it to Google's adsense team for review. The address in on their Adsense page.
That is the way I went about it and I got a reply within 48 hours saying that my ad format was not acceptable and why.
Based on that experience, there are a lot of sites who are going to be asked to take down their ads IF Google ever enforces their TOS regarding similarity of ad format.
I can see where that could cause problems because there could conceivably be two ads for the same advertiser(one for google on for my own text based ad).
But in the way I was hoping to do it, either the page would have the google ads OR my own text based ads - Not both on the same page.
