Has anyone else noticed a significant drop in their Earnings per click on Adsense? Only two months ago I was averaging over $1.60 per click, and over the last month it has continued to drop. It's now siting at around $0.40.

This is pretty frustrating, especialy as I have not changed any of my site's content etc. - Does anyone know why this is happening, and if I can expect ECP levels to return to what the once were anytime soon?

Any input is appreciated

My last few days are really down. Today is a new all time low.

Perhaps something to do with the end of the month?

This is my case:

After I added some new pages to my site, the ads displayed is inherited from parent pages, and get a higher EPC and CTR. Then 1 to 4 weeks later, the ads are changed to be either targeted or non-targeted to the content, and in most cases, both EPC and CTR droped.

many advertisers (my company included) have separated out their bids for Adsense and reduced the bids. We bid a max CPC for searches at average of $2 and average $.50 for Content matches.

Many advertisers are learning how to do this. Adsense clicks have a much lower ROI for us, so we are now bidding down accordingly.
