Ok, i've been running my site and something happened..I did not do anything to my site but its soo weird now..

What happens is if I go to my site when i just opened up the internet explorer, then the adsense ad does not show up. But if i go through google, or google/adsense, then the ads come up on my site

and i get like 20% of impressions than i actually get from the server..and the clicks dropped like over 95 percent...

anyone know the solution? I'm using postnuke and created a left side html block for Adsense..

Are you using the Norton firewall or some other Norton product? Could be the evil ad-blocking at work. Just a guess.

Yeah, Norton Firewall. There've been many discussions [google.com] about this.

I was under the impressions the Norton software blocked *all* AdSense ads, whether a Google referral or not.

I run Norton anti-virus, not Norton fire wall. I had problems a few weeks ago not seeing the ads. When I turned off the anti-virus I saw the ads; when I turned it on I saw no ads. This was both through I.E. and through the preview function of Front Page. I did a system restore, and everything worked.

This morning I updated my Norton anti-virus. Then when I took a look at my pages, there were no ads. I turned off the anti-virus, called up a page and the ads were there. I turned the anti-virus protection back on but the ads are still there and working OK.

There seems to be something in the Norton anti-virus, not just the firewall, that occassional screws up Adsense.

you should assume thats its your norton. there isnt any logical reason why any type of revenue generating program could only be viewed if you starting reference was google. that would be a partial loss for goggle.
