This is a bizarre one.

I've had AdSense on a few pages for months now. I don't look at them very often, and when I went to look recently, they wouldn't show. When I try to access one of the pages with them, I get a very long delay, and then the page finally comes in, but without the ad.

But some people must be seeing them, since my "Reports" are showing clicks.

Since I last saw the ads, I think that I updated my McAfee AntiVirus software, and Zone Alarm - but if I shut both of them down, I still don't see the ads.

I'm on Win2k, and have tried IE6, NN7, FireBird, and even NN4.7 and don't see the ads in any browser.

I just tried on a friend's machine - with the same AV and Firewall software, and I see the ads.

What's going on here?

You donwload any other software? Or install Norton Adblocker by chance? I use McAfee anti-virus and it doesn't interfere with Google ads. But, perhaps you downloaded a part of McAfee that works as a firewall - and is now stopping the display of ads. Regardless, you have something on your computer that must be stopping the display of ads.

Check your Zone Alarm settings, too.

I used to have that problem, but clearing the cache fixed it.

They're set the same as on my friend's machine!

Nope, that's not it either - I clear my browser cache regularly.
