Google's reply is that it violates Adsense policies if put adsense with AGAR <snip> but it is okay if you put adsense with Amazon content target ads (with text and small images blended) together.

So I think it is also okay if I modify AGAR a little and make it display products' images as well.

Amazon content target ads:

Login your amazon joint associate account-->Build a link-->Keyword Links

Having Amazon associate items on a page may get it removed by google.

I put up a section of amazon associate pages to try it out months ago, and googlebot would visit the pages daily, but would not index them. I have a PR 7 site with a few hundred googlebot page hits daily, and all the pages are founded thourgh links, so it is not a question of bad linking or anything else that someone might wrongfuly think.

If you put amazon items on your pages with adsense, be aware that your google traffic from searcing might be 0 because of the amazon associate items.

Anyone else have this experiance?

Never known amazon ads to be an issue with adsense. The question here is having agar on the same page as adsense. Since they are designed to be the same format it is against TOS, in fact agar page states this. They were designed as default replacement and as far as I have seen is acceptable. As far as regular amazon affiliate links, as long as they dont look like adsense I have not heard of any issue with running adsense. Any other comments?

FYI - I have several sites that Amazon text links, banner code, etc and have top rankings.

I doubt that G is removing pages from serps for the simple fact of being in the associates program.

Theres an updated version of AGAR (Amazon/Google Ad Replacement) that Google has said is OK to use. Sticky me for the URL.

I have a new movie site that is pretty thick with various types of Amazon content custom formatted from the XML feed.

I applied to AdSense as a new account with the Amazon ads in place and had no problem getting accepted.

That is intersting, pages i have under my PR 7 (with direct links off home page) with amazon associate content were white once they were crawled, and then reverted back to grey. A search for unique text on the pages in google shows no matching pages on my site.

The pages have been up for a few months, googlebot activity on the pages, but no insertion into the index.
