Is Adsense reporting of impressions and clicks close to real time normally, or is there a delay?
Any additional delay when account is new?

I've found that my stats lag behind during the daytime but update more quickly in the evenings. Others have reported greater delays. In any case, the stats aren't real-time, and some days are slower than others. (Also, impressions and clicks/revenues aren't always in synch, and you may see slightly different numbers for the current day if you switch from "today" to "last 7 days" to "this month.")

To add to what EFV said, it's not even consistent across all publishers on a given day. I've had a day where my stats didn't display at all until the next day and others had no problem and there have been other cases over the last month where the reverse was true.
