I have been receiving 6 lines of description copy on some sky scraper ads making these ads longer than they should be.
This 'pushes' the other ads down and cuts off the last one. Any thoughts to what is happening?

6 lines -- in our site, we often see in the skyscrapers
2 lines of title 3 lines of ad copy 1 line of URL
I don't think you can really do anything other than filtering out those URLs, which of course can or may affect your earnings. Personally, I am not bothered by it.

I'm talking 6 lines of ad copy in addition to the rest.

Do the 6 lines contain more characters than the usual normal ads? It could be that the column is too tight and the text gets wrapped.

Now that at I look into that I notice a 35 character limit for Description 1 and 2 in AdWords. Was it not previously 25?

No, the 25 applied to the title. 36 for description lines is there at least since April 2003

I have also seen titles that are lost off the right edge of the skyscraper. Because the skyscraper splits the title into multiple lines, if you have a long single word or use a long domain name in the title, (. in domain names are not considered for line breaks in Adwords it seems) it will get cut off.

This is one reason I've switched all my skyscrapers to the new wide skyscrapers... it avoids some of the ugly layout problems.
I've had problems with ads going slightly off the bottom of units in other formats, too, but it seems to be an intermittent Mozilla-only problem and the folks at Google didn't seem that interested in it.
