'Invalid clicks' detection

Not convinced of its accuracy...

I just got the dreaded 'it has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated' email.

I am absolutely certain that I have never clicked on any of my own ads (having read all the horror stories here), so they must have made an error?

I'm a little concerned that if an error can happen once, it can happen twice = boot from adsense.

Does Google agree that their detection method isn't 100% inaccurate?

First, I would look for anything that could be considered deceptive or against the TOS in the way you show the ads or drive traffic to your pages. Be sure to reread the program policies AND the TOS AND the FAQ.

IMO "invalid clicks" does not only refer to intentionally fraudulent clicking.

Just because you aren't clicking on your own links doesn't mean that others aren't doing it on your behalf. For all you know, an over zealous visitor may think that they are helping you out by clicking on a link for every page they see...

Have you noticed any noticable spikes in your CTR? Is there anything in your logs that points to a bot or unusual browsing patterns on these days?

Unfortunately without any detailed stats from AdSense you won't be able to correct the problem they've detected... lets hope we get them soon.
