Place 2 250x250 ads on top of each other?

I was reading through some other posts about you being allowed to place more than one ad on a page, and got some conflicting ideas.

I was just messing about with different ad formats, and this looks surprisingly decent in the specific place where it would go, doesn't look overdone at all.

No. The updated TOS was vague and poorly written concerning that issue. AdSenseAdvisor clarified in this forum a week or two ago - you can't show more than one ad block per page. In the last 3 days someone else mentioned here that they showed 2 per page thinking it was ok and were contacted by Google asking them not to.

Thanks for clarifying that for me =)

Glad to help. By the way, a lot of us would love to be able to show two or more different smaller ad blocks per page. If Google allowed it, but capped the total number of advertisements within the ads to something like six I'd be testing some ad placement combos that I think would be a win-win for me and the advertisers - especially on pages that span the fold. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

It will come, they need to sort out the code for working out how many ads are been shown and displaying them without duplication.
