You might want to do a site search on threads dealing with variation in earnings. Every day is an excellent EPC day for someone.

Yep and everyday is the worst EPC ever for someone else. Tommorow, it will be someone else's turn ;)

Yes I am aware that each day is good and bad for someone. However such an incidence had occured last month when google served most of the high paying ads in one day.

Well I just had my first day with adsense, and made some money and am getting relevant ads for my SERPs, so I'm feeling righteous!

It _could be something to do with advertisers having new monthly budgets to spend.

There's an interesting idea. Might be yearly budgets too. Many in the retail sector begin their new fiscal year around now. Fresh budgets, fresh ideas, fresh earnings... Yummy!

So there could be several market peaks and troughs then...budget planning trough, delayed first month spend kicking in in month 2, big blowout of excess budget at year end, big pull-back of spending because of over-spend towards year end, summer trough because there's noone around to advertise to (all sipping Pimms outdoors)...;-)
Or is the best thing to look for the trend in overall net advertising?

...Actually on a serious note, it should be possible to find out how different market sectors spend throughout the year and then at least make sure that different parts of your sites get appropriate emphasis.

My average EPC has been going down steadily. A few weeks ago, it seemed to fluctuate wildly, now it seems the average EPC has been the same for the last week or so - and very low. Yesterday it was lower still. I am hoping it will turn around...
