Does anybody know where I can find the statistics for the top websites, maby like the top 10000 websites.

I'd like to help, but i'm not sure exactly what you mean... what kind of "statistics" are you looking for - traffic/technology/size/other? ...and top 10K for which subject, which country, what should they have in common?

Regardless, i doubt that you'll find any list of 10K sites, but for some subjects or areas it's definitely possible to find stats on, say top 10, 50, or perhaps even 100. These stats are not always comparable though.

Mediametrix used to have a top 500 report issued every month. I just went to their site and now they are called comscore.com

You might want to search around their site to see if there is anything there. The information probably became available by subscription only just like most of the web is becoming.

What Im looking for is mainly traffic. Nedstat has stats but only of the websites with their counter.

Regarding the counter.com, it's the same almost everywhere. The alexa link (is nice, although it :-) is alexa users only, Nielsen figures are Nielsen only, Comscore similar... there's really no worldwide all-inclusive standard in this field yet, i'm afraid.

But the more exact and narrow you can define your field of interest, the easier it is to find out if there are some usable figures for that area.

Realy Im interested in all of the websites. I thought there might not be a website with worldwide stats but still I just wanted to ask. Still small sites like alexa help me so if you know of any others ...

Okay, sorry about the delay, had to get some food :)

If we concentrate on the US market, here are some recent figures:

1. Nielsen//NetRatings Top25 properties monthly [nielsen-netratings.com] - data drawn from a sample of internet users, only including their consumption at home.
   
2. Nielsen//NetRatings Top25 properties weekly [pm.netratings.com] - as above
   

It seems that the Nielsen//Netratings sites are currently being redesigned, so there is some amount of chaos and malfunction.

This link to the CyberAtlas Stats Toolbox [cyberatlas.internet.com] has additional interesting information and stats.

Usually, you will also be able to find useful stats at NUA Internet Surveys [nua.com] - a website that collects released stats from a variety of sources.

Check out trafficranking.com.
It lets you specify a category and lists top sites.

I don't know how accurate their stats are, but it's worth a try.

Alexa may not be famous but it's a pretty big site as sites go - I remember seeing somewhere quoted the fact that there are about 1.5 million Alexa toolbar users, albeit with certain skews to countries like South Korea. Their top 1000 is probably fairly accurate although not necessarily in that order. From a size point of view, note their association with Amazon and archive.org. They're also one of the more innovative users of dmoz data, integrating their own traffic rank into the data in a similar manner to the Google Directory with PageRank and dmoz data.
