AdSense and Fastclick Popunders

Can they be used on the same page?

I'm considering placing Fastclick popunders on my AdSense pages. I have a few questions:

1 - Is this allowed under the AdSense terms and conditions? I can't seem to arrive at a definitive answer by reading the AdSense TOC and FAQs.

2 - Is anyone else doing this with good results? (I know that "good results" is a relative term. I'm not looking for specifics, just a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.)

3 - Are there any usability/customer satisfaction considerations that I need to be aware of?

Thanks.

Customers generally do not like popups or popunders. You probably should think long and hard about if it's worth it to you to annoy your site visitors.

I believe they allow popups and popunders under certain conditions. See the Policies under Site Content:

I've used fastclick popunders on some of my sites. I ended up removing them because they were an annoyance to me and my visitors.

However, they were the highest paying ad unit of fastclick when I was using them.

For personal experience, one of my sites had fastclick pop-unders {the 12 hour code} with adsense. A lot of sites use popunders with Adsense. One per session is definetily ok. More than that you might run into the "excesive advertising" rule.

I guess it depends on the amount of money that you are making from other sources. If you are making $2.00 CPM with other types of ads, adding popunders that will be shown to 20%/50% of your visitors might well double your income. If you are making more, you might as well avoid them for usability purposes.

Yes they are annoying. I think Adsense is great from the point of view that it helps a lot of sites get rid of these types of ads.
