We should petition Google to release the top 100,000 searches by total revenue which is the number of searches * CPC * CTR.

Each row should include the search phrase, # of searches, CPC, and CTR, and total revenue as seperate columns in this report.

If they did this, they would tell the world the value of knowledge in US dollars.

I personally think the fundamental impact would be worth the PR for google, would increase the bidding for important keywords, and would be far more valuable to them this way then they could use it privately.

While we're at it I'd like a petition to get the recipe for Coke and the Caramilk secret and the Colonels chicken spice-mix recipe too!

:))

These are all 'one ply' responses and certainly do not do WebmasterWorld justice.

I can already get the top searches with clicks and CPC simply by doing a full dictionary search (not as hard as you might think) of their AdWords tool.

They wouldn't be revealing much that we already do not know. They would only be reducing error, educating the eCommerce industry itself, and bringing extra publicity to themselves.

And it would definitely bring attention to high paying keywords, thus increasing the bid rate and bringing in more revenue for the company itself.

Care to walk us through the logic of how this 1. would increase bid rates and 2. would result in more total revenue for Google?

How long would it take for the spammers to have their new 100k page website out after this list was published?

The publication of such a list would be the death of adsense. With all the garbage that would be published based on this information, plummeting ROI would have adwords users opting out just as fast as the new pages appeared.

Sorry, but good old fashioned hard work and research are still the way to go.

actual salary of the CEO

This one is coming Shak... once they go public ;)

All the others would do them more harm than good. PS... I found 5 "Larry Page" in CA... wonder if one of them is the one you are looking for?
