Adsense payout, is this about par?

IŽve been using Adsense on my site for a week and my total

Click through rate is: 1.6%

Is this about average? How can I improve this?

You might want to edit your post and remove the figures you quote. From Google's terms and conditions:

You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google's prior written consent.... includes without limitation.... click-through rates or other statistics relating to Site performance in the Program provided to you by Google

If you take a peek through some of the threads there, you will find a wealth of information. I see all your other AdSense posts have been in this forum, so you might not have known the forum exists ;)

And Paul is right, it is against Google's TOS to quote any figures or click throughs at all, so you should edit your post to take them out.
