Using adsense on a discussion forum

I'm implement Google adsense on a discussion forum. It's fairly easy to ad to the template but the ads appear on the forum search results, registration page etc.

It would appear these are against the TOS - is this the case? How does one get around this. I've seen lots of forums that use adsense in the template that have been running a long time.

If no-one has been in contact with google about this before I can ask them. I don't think that not having the ads on the search page would affect my revenue too much but I'm not an experienced programmer so its going to be difficult to avoid.

Sorry - just answered my own question.

I've removed the ads from the template and added it to the templates for view forum, view topic and view posts. This was it's not on search results, registration, etc.

Not too trick in the end.
