Has Google made a slight change to ads displayed today, replacing PSA's with a general set of broad based matched ads? This is what we are seeing as of this morning. Anyone else?

I just saw some PSAs on a site I was on.

I think what you are seeing is this [webmasterworld.com] which was noticed earlier this month.

Seems to be a different set though, picked up from the main index page, and displayed throughout the site, where we have been seeing the PSA's recently. We had that rash of ebay/biz ads also but not that. Have tried to force the PSA's (some known non targetted pages) and keep seeing these general ads in place of. Possible google has made an adjustment to stop default ads from being shown so much?

Have been watching with interest the media bot since I saw this initial effect earlier this week. She (he) is on the fast track recently for any page serving up a default ad. Hitting these pages in lightning speed (<30 seconds)after a default served, retargetting and when we refresh targetted ads are served. They done changed something at the plex, perhaps adding more bots? These are not new pages but ones that have seemed to have lost targetting in January. (same effect others have been noting)

This in combination with a general set of ads being displayed across the site means number of defaults greatly reduced recently. They are definitly lower priced but at least not zero.

I have seen a few sites with "someones name" is missing.

This often comes up before a site has been properly indexed. I am not sure if this is a psa or not, another one that's often used before a site is indexed is anti spam ads.

Well went to upload the default ads serving tonight, and guess what? Can't find a page with PSA's on it to test. Many magazine ads all of a sudden appearing, general matching of these rather than PSA's. Something has changed...500 pages checked...not 1 psa? Normally would find some in the first 25 clicks at the most.
