My DMOZ directory & Adsense

No relevant ads appearing

Hi all,

I have created a site that pulls DMOZ listings.

I went to some effort to ensure Adsense friendly URLS etc, but for some reason I can't get ANY relevant ads to appear on any of these DMOZ pages. It only calls up my own in-house ads.

How long has it been since you added AdSense? Have you seen the mediabot in your logs accessing those pages? Keep in mind that each page must be viewed by a person at least once, since mediabot only goes to pages that a visitor has called the javascript from, it will not crawl pages and follow links like the regular Googlebot does.

Have you checked your robots.txt and meta tags to ensure you aren't banning the mediabot somehow?

Do you have any stop words that could be causing PSAs?
