Hi,

is everybody facing this? This is what i have to say..

I have been facing a strange thing from last 36 hours. My Impressions have gone down by 500% in last 36 hours and so as the click. I have heard that the update is slow from last some time..but till now atleast, my account shud have shown the yestrdays..missing impressions. I knwo ppl are coming and clicking but where are those clicks..I already has a slow time on saturday and sunday then agian ..this stragne thing....is everybody facing this?

Hanlon's Razor states that one should never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.

Can be any number of reasons. Sit back, sweat, and wait for the numbers to catch up with your bean counter

Hey, My impressions have gone to half and the click through alos but revenue has gone to 1/8th since last 3 days..I have not chnaged anythng. Is google playing by giving much in the beginning and not paying less per click and keeping a major part of it itself..say 80%.

OK, start with impressions, more people will talk (honestly) about this figure

Try looking at your log files, analyse how many impressions should have been served out on those pages, then compare it with what Google served.

If you have a (major) difference, then check agaist Google's TOS to see which serves they they discount (other robots, etc). If you still have a major difference, then question that

I have very large log files which I download a week in arrears when they are compressed to make the thing quicker, so I cannot comment on the past few days, other than to say I do not think Google have been "manipulating" any figures on the basis of my bean counter.

Anyone doing this longer like to comment on differences between log file analysis and Google figures for impressions?

I do not think that Google did "manipulate" the sharing percentage and made dramatic change during the past several days.

In my case, everything looks pretty stable. Only the stats report was sometimes a little slow.

robinponty - are many of your impressions coming from message boards? I find that sometimes when a new thread is posted, the AdSense bot comes along pretty quickly and will begin showing relevant ads to the specific message within minutes, while other times it is delayed quite a bit.

Before the new threads have been visited by the bot, AdSense will then show charity ads, which would result in lower impressions (charity ads are not included in impressions, as far as I know). And if many of your site visitors may have already viewed that thread once, they might not view that thread again (thus not see the ads) once relevant ads are displayed.
