High page views but very few clicks

what can i do

Hi,
I have a wiki containing 20000+ pages, however, there are a lot pageviews and uniq visitors daily, but only a few of click, what can i do, the Page CTR is only 0.01%.

What can i do, people from china always unwilling to click a ads.

IS the ad a banner add? Or is it a text link?

If it's a banner add, make sure the add is proffesionally designed and stands out.

If its a text link make sure it's within the main content that the users are trying view and of course make sure the link is visible with a hover or underline.

I think you will get better CTR with a link strategy than that of a banner, but I'm sure some will argue that.

It text ad, however, maybe the viewers only custom to read ad not click them.
BTW, dose google pay for impressioms? only pay for click?
