Media based site, lots of impressions but.

Our site has good impressions etc. It is a media site and so doesnt have that much written content. The people etc are there, so how do you suggest we better our adsense ratios?

(sorry, couldn't resist!). It's a fair statement though. AdSense works by scanning the text on your pages, so if there isn't very much text, you need to add some if you want relevant ads. We had a site with lots of picture galleries of celebrities, and to start with, there were no ads on those pages at all, which was a shame, as they were really high traffic. We got round it by adding a description of each celebrity on their page - relevant content for the users, and something for AdSense to munch on also.

I have the same type of set-up with a free download site.

What type of media, that is a broad term.

Avoid CPC for sites like image upload, video, other downloads etc.. go with CPM based ads like ValueClick, Tribal, etc..

There is a legit way to control the ad serving but I want to know what kind of site it is before I give up my information.
