Hi,
is it just me, or adsense display on any site is replaced by an empty area?

First time ever it happens to me.

you might want to try validating your html and see if it is something in the surrounding code that is doing it if it shows up in IE fine

It does it on ALL adsense websites I visit, not just mine.

I suspect that something got installed that might disable the display of google ads.... but I'm strongly protected againt virus and spyware + I run an anti add and it found nothing special.

This problem is exceptionally weird.

Did you check your hosts file? Somebody else had this problem recently and it was found that the Google ads url had somehow been added.

The hosts file would affect all browsers, no?

This comes up occasionally. It happened to me once, I fixed it by deleting the IE cache. It seems that for some unknown reason, if the IE cache is full, Adsense stops working.

So, perhaps your other browsers are having a similar problem.

Oops, sorry, I must be tired. Yes, I would expect all browsers to be similarly affected if it was the hosts file.

Hey, thanks for your answers.

I Fixed this problem by deleting the cache from my browser, as someone suggested.

I did it in Firefox, so it seems this problem can affect Explorer as well as firefox.

I see no rational reason on this, in particular since my browser is supposed to clear cache on exit, which I did several times.

Anyway it is fixed, and it is good to know the solution.
