something is defeintely not right, my content is the same, updated every other day and nothing else has warning bells regarding layout etc
it also seems many others have experienced an extreme drop in areas, so im not alone
funnily enough, its a record month for me as well, but considering last 4 days, this next month looks to be a record low
cheers

Or is it just a temporary lull for some people?
My main site was built 18 months ago with no thought whatsoever for AS. We implemented it recently, as an extra source of income, on about 1/3 of the pages, but if it doesn't work after a 3 month trial, then naturally we will find alternatives, aswell as spreading our options with some affiliate ads.
We chose AS in the beginning because Google search provides a huge amount of trafffic for us, and wanted to be loyal. So far, AS is on track for what we expect. But I have no doubt that we would consider changing, if AS doesn't perform reasonably for us.
A very good record month for me to, averaging over $100 a day for the first time :)
Appalling yesterday, probably down to the damn footy and don't the Yanks have something distracting them from clicking this weekend?
Must start a campaign to ban sports and public holidays :D
Does this mean that people will start looking towards alternatives to AdSenses
Yes. If Google is successful at making SmartPricing reward publishers with good ROI and discourage publishers with bad ROI (and the odds of that success go up if their new payment processing program signs up a good smattering of advertisers), then publishers with bad ROI will inevitably be pushed to start trying AdSense alternatives.
This effectively shoves the lousy (from an advertiser's perspective) publishers onto the AdSense competitors, further reducing their chances of ever getting a foothold against Google.
If SmartPricing can accurately reflect advertiser returns, it's a silver bullet for Google against AdSense competitors.

I'll second that...plus can we have lower taxes and free beer too:-))
