Tried to use it for a good cause, didn't turn out well

Hi there,
I recently attended a large community event and decided to donate all the clicks from AdSense from my photos to the charity the event was for. The event was a great success and I had 9,632 page views in under 2 days, but only got one click in that time.

I know it is against AdSense policies to draw attention to the ads or have organised clicking campaigns, but hopefully I will get some clicks throughout the year that I could donate to the organisation.

Thanks.

AdSense works best when you have surfers actively looking for specific information or product to buy. Poor quality traffic ( crowds at charity event) may not really be interested in more information or products under offer via adSense. One click out of so many visitors is a very low / horrible CTR and I guess should now motivate you to get better quality traffic actively seeking your site on their own.

BTW if you told the 'Visitors' that you will donate all revenue/clicks to charity , it is against TOS and your account will be in trouble.

Yes, that is what I thought. I am just going to leave the ads on the pages and see how I go for the rest of the year.

You could look at the ad placement and assess their relevance - maybe blocking out some poorly worded adverts through competitive filters may bring more appealing ads to the eyes of your visitors.

Most people always mention ad placement, blending etc ... but the actual quality of the ad itself and what description is displayed can also hold a great significance in attracting the interest of site visitors.
