My first Firefox referral dollar

After redesigning my main site and having an uncomfortable run-in with IE and its twighlight-zone-ish interpretation of CSS, I decided to serve a FF referal banner to IE vistors, and just now I saw one click had earned a whole US$1.00.

What has me slightly confused is that the other 2 clicks each brought US$0.25. It's highly likely that all 3 clicks are from the same country, so what the difference is beats me...

I was a little shocked at the dismal performance of the Firefox ads. I tried them out on my (admittedly fairly low-traffic) site, and haven't gotten a single dollar in.. months, from what I can tell.

The other day I got my very first, one and only Picasa referral click. I was so excited. Now I wait in nervous anticipation to see if it converts--if the clicker actually downloads, installs, and registers Picasa. Hoping for that first <= $1!

I shall have it framed and hang it on my "trophy wall" along with stuff like the invoice for my first domain name and the statistics printout on the day I got my first hundred visitors.

Hi, I also had similar experience with Picassa. My 1st 2 referral fetched me 1$ each and then only .1$ for next 2 referrals. After waiting for 1 month, due to 'No clicks', I removed it from the site. I realised that the 1st one will get you 1$ and the next, if its from US, you will still get 1$ for every conversion, if its India or some other country, you will get only 0.1$.

But I remember a post in thsi forum, one webmaster have been earning 70% of his earnings (>100$ a day) from these referrals only.
