Non-contextual ppc ads to use with Adsense

I'm at the point I want to use other ads alongside Adsense that pay for clicks but have some dilemmas.

Kontera has been rejected by Adsense support even though there are major sites that have both on the same page (or Intellitxt instead of Kontera). Looks like there are two sets of rules, one for the big fish and another for the rest of us.

That leaves us with only non-contextual ads. Chitika has a non contextual mode but the ads are very ugly with text formatting errors in their design. Chitika also seems to have a poor collection of advertisers.

What choices do we have left that are definitely either Adsense friendly, non-contextual or, as the Google TOS says, don't mimic Adsense's design?

I would love to know the answer to that one as well. I would like to know the best non-contextual ads and from an ad company who is honest and actually pays you. I've heard stories from people who served ads, then never got paid from apparently disreputable companies.

I tried Kontera on a test page yesterday. Two clicks worth once cent each :(

Chitika is paying around 20-30 cents but they say they remove clicks from unsupported countries every time they do an audit.....without telling you which clicks they were or were from.

What other choices do we have?
