Here's my story: My largest money making site is over three years old. I tried AdSense on it when it was about 6 months old but never really made more than a dollar or two per month, so I removed the code on all but a couple of low visited pages ( I actually forgot that the code was on those pages as I had not looked at them in forever).
Anyway, I decided a couple of months ago to try again now that my site had more visitors, etc. I was extremely surprised and pleased by how much I made and as I tweaked it (by reading the wonderful posts of the webmasters here) and started increasing my earnings.
The reason for my post here is that I'm currently working on some new sites and was curious to know others experiences on how long it took for them to start earning decent AdSense money with brand new sites. I'm not talking about those who are paying for traffic, but those who get free traffic from natural search results, links, etc.
As always I appreciate the time you take to reply and I always learn much from your posts.

I have three vary small sites that started making money right away. We're not talking a lot here but enought that I made back money on the time I spent.
traffic from natural search results, links, etc.
Immediately. If you already have a reasonable site then link it through an appropriately relevant page and away you go.
