Google Adsense check clearance delay

I got my first adsense check on 1st june.

I deposited it in SBI patiala on 5th june.

They said that the check will be sent to clearance to citibank chandigarh, and then i will get the money.

But how much time will it take?

They said that it takes about 10 days. But i haven't got they money yet.

Anyone been to same similar situation?

It is typical that most checks from foreign banks take a while to clear- it's not Google specific. You can check around with your local friends for the general time it takes with them. When I lived in Korea, I heard that it could take a month for a foreign check to clear- never had to try it though.

If Google ofers EFT to India, definitely signup for it!

when banks mention number of days it usually refers to business days so 10 days is usually a minimum of 14

here in europe they say the clearence should be at least 20days and maximum of one month.

I've been lucky my first check was below 200$ so there was no need to make the clearence of the check.

its normal for any local currency chq to take 10 days for clearing, better would be you send your chq to any branch in Chandigarh for deposit, it will be deposited in your PAtiala account (advantage SBI CBS) very next day with a very nominal charge.
