Please look at this url:
<removed>

The guy is using Kontera ContentLink service. As far as i see, you add a javascript code and the relevant keywords are underlined. When the user moves mouse over the underlined text, the ad is shown and you get paid per click.

So what do you think about using this service with adsense? Is it acceptable in terms of adsense terms? I am not sure about this but i think it would be nice to have both of them on a site.

I asked them for this and they didn't agree.

Kontera doesn't mind but Adsense does. You can use both but not on the same page.

I got Kontera 3 days ago. Still waiting for my ads to show up 3 days after putting the code on a few test pages with good keywords.

i signed up with Kontera just a day ago and already have an account and ads are showing up as well, pretty much immediately. Although they're just in upper 1/3rd of the pages, none towards the bottom. I figure once they spider the pages, they'll be able to show ads for all relative keywords.

I've put them on just 4 pages, these perform terribly for AdSense and I had the code removed a long time ago. they get about 2,000 impressions a day - very popular on searches, etc.

I'll post back in a week or so with some numbers, I wonder if kontera can convert these pages better than AdSense. i was getting no more than $20/month with AdSense from these, while taking up a big chunk of my impressions.

Ok I have found out that Kontera currently does not display ads on any browser running on Macs including Firefox. Kontera is Windows only for now.

They could run ads for Mac-related businesses, saying, "If you were using a Mac, you wouldn't see all these damn ads!"

Kontera and Adsense is a no-no. That annoys me greatly as there are major sites that I have seen with both on the same page or Adsense with Intellitxt. How are those guys getting away with it? One law for all or is there another law for the biggest fish?

is that kontera and adsense on the same page or on the same site?

well, maybe one day is not a good predictor of things to come, but the results look same as AdSense. maybe these pages just don't convert well... less than 0.5% conversion, less than 5cents a click, very reminiscent of AdSense.

I'll give it a week just in case it's the first few days, but it doesn't look promising.
