Restoring Content-Related Ads to a page

after a site goes down

I had a site go down for about a day, with a temporary page from the hosting company saying that the site was unavailable. After the site went back online, most of the site ads changed and were related to hosting or SSL encryption (the site isn't tech related).

After a few days all the ads went back to normal except one page, which normally had a high clickthrough rate. Its been at least a month and the page still displays hosting and secure server ads. Without changing the page filename (which is indexed well and has a high PR value), how can I get rid of the hosting ads which nobody has been clicking and get back to the related ones? The filter isn't helping, there's a neverending string of hosting companies lined up.

DXL-

At the risk of memtioning things you may have already attempted... have you tried simply editing the file, in some fashion, to get the crawler to reevaluate it?

Perhaps even inserting some section targeting commands may get the crawler's attention... I know it works that way when I change my files.

Other than that, I do believe I recall reading posts from people that actually ended up contacting support to get a page "unstuck"!

Yes, you can contact adsense to do some manual magic to the page for you - they are quite prompt :)

I contacted Adsense about a week ago and hadn't heard anything from them yet. So no magic from G as of yet.

I changed a word or two in the title to see if it would change things, it hasn't yet.

Change the ad format or add a new ad format. Will help in getting mediabot around again.

I'll try changing the ad format and see if that works.
