Paid Advertiser switched to Google

One of my advertisers stopped advertising on the site and switched to site targeted ads with Google. Starting to think this is why my click through has tanked as they take up the first position on every page.

Should I filter them? Or contact them and ask to them to not site target my site?

CTR is irrelevant with respect to site-targeted ads. Even if it's zero, you still get paid. But go ahead and filter this advertiser if you're ticked off at them or think that they're somehow driving down your overall income.

However, before you do that, be aware that CTR doesn't matter with a site targeted ad, you still get paid. What's important is that your earnings may rise. This is an auction and they have to bid a competitive CPM in order to show up.

Other members have reported that site targeting has worked well for them in terms of earnings. So make sure you're making a judgement based on earnings, not CTR.

Of course, if it's eating into banner advertising sales, probably a good idea to ditch site targeting.
