Am I allowed to put it on my About Me Page?

Hi

Am I allowed to put Adsense ads on my ebay About Me Page?

I know that I can put external links on it to my web site for example but I wasn't sure about Adsense.

Many thanks

From the TOS:
You represent and warrant that... (b) You are the owner of each Site or that You are legally authorized to act on behalf of the owner of such Site(s) for the purposes of this Agreement and the Program

Unless eBay specifically gives you the go-ahead to do this, I'd say it's against the AdSense rules. I'm not an eBay seller, but I've got a feeling that putting advertising on that page would be against THEIR rules, too.

Hi

Thanks very much for your reply.

It seems very straightforward as I don't actually own ebay (wish I did!) however ebay do allow you put external links on the page (I don't think that there is a limit either).

I think I had better get some advice from ebay to be sure.

Thanks again. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Best wishes

even though eBay allows external files, I believe ebay will strip off javascript code effectively disabling adsense. I'm not sure though. Can someone on eBay confirm?

This is the information on the ebay About Me guidelines:

he eBay About Me page may be used to describe the seller's business, and may contain URLs or links to the seller's individual web site. It may not specifically promote off eBay sales or sales of items prohibited on eBay, nor may it contain links to commercial web sites where goods from multiple sellers are aggregated by a common search engine.

Breaches of this policy can result in a range of actions, including:

* Listing cancellation
* Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
* Limits on account privileges
* Loss of PowerSeller status
* Account suspension

------END--------

Will the bit that I have put in bold apply to Adsense do you think?

Note the parts that I put in bold.
