Hello!

i am planing to place a 458 x 60 banner in addition to the existing 2 text only add units.

what about the performance of the banner?
is it true that banner add most of the time show public service adds?

I very rarely see PSAs on my sites with the 468x60 Banner. As long as there is sufficient advertising inventory, you'll be fine.

I have a 468x60 banner on all my pages (over 1,000) and have never seen a PSA yet.

Bear in mind though that banners placed in the traditional top position have a very low CTR but may be the highest value clicks as they appear first on a page.

This can have a knock-on effect on your earnings for the page if lower value ads appear in more clickable positions further down.

I've had instances where this seems to have triggered the dreaded Stupid Pricing (TM).

very valuable thought. Thank you. yah. placing a banner on top will certanly have effect on the text adds if this is true.
