Default Ads...no longer PSA's?

Have noticed today that instead of seeing PSA on certain pages we are seeing general set of ads throughout the site. Something new for us to see, and indicates to us that a shift has occured in ad serving recently. These ads are exactly the same, order included.

Is this an effort by google to stop alternative ads being served?

I use the ad replacment option Google gives us, so I never see PSAs. With that said, I'm not seeing many general ads, If AdSense doesn't have targeted ads for me, I'm still getting my custom replacement

I am getting more of those ebay-ish [webmasterworld.com], but I checked some brand new forum pages, and am seeing some PSAs as well. Not sure how they decide whether to show those eBay/bizrate ads or the PSAs, but I am seeing both running right now before mediabot visits.
