Hello
I have a forum (phpbb) with average for this month 10k Impressions / Day And Ctr 0.53 % (some times are more big some times no)
I display ads up on page (overall header)
Watch around and find alot sites place add between 1st and 2 post.
What are you advice?
its this good idea to make it?

Try using Adsense on left columns. The mod is available at phpbb website. If you want to kill the session id for Adsense bot what is the description to use in the mod. It is different from Googlebot

The effect of placement will vary a lot depending upon the subject matter of your forum and whether you have a lot of new visitors or a lot of return traffic.

My return visitors don't click much, but when I was using phpbb I had pretty good luck by displaying a block of ads to people who were not logged in immediately after the last actual response to the thread. Left column ads seem to work pretty well, also, but I didn't have much improvement in CTR by having both.

You shouldn't put Adsense in overall_header. This is against Adsense rules. If you put it in overall header then ads will show on "non-content" pages like registration, login, profiles, memberlists and etc.

The proper places are on pages with content. I put mine on index_body.tpl, viewforum_body.tpl and viewtopic_body.tpl.

Yes, many folks do find ways to insert ads after the first post. I think that's intrusive so I put them at the top and bottom of the pages I mentioned above. I also put a link unit at the top of each topic in the viewtopic_body.tpl page.

just started a new forum, beside that i have a small forum on my personal site as well(both run on phpbb). i agree with creativepart that you should only place ads on index_body.tpl, viewforum_body.tpl and viewtopic_body.tpl. also placing ads between posts is a big no-no for me. you might get a few accidental clicks, which arnt good for your revenue or the the overall experience of your forum user.
