My first $100

I've been averaging about $1/day for the ~100 days I've used adsense, and finally today, I broke that $100 mark!

Thank you to everyone on the forum who has answered my questions, or anyone's questions, because I read a lot here.

The final $1 was pure torture. I was having a good May so far, and reached the $99 point a few days ago. Then came a couple of $0 days, followed by a few $0.07 clicks. Then today, 8 clicks for a grand total of $0.41. I've never seen it that low, and for the life of me I'd swear that Google just didn't want me to break $100. Then finally it happened. A $2 click! My highest click ever put me over the top.

I hope to be thanking you people again, but hopefully sooner than 100 days from now.

Tony,

I'm mere cents from the first $100 here... mere miserable cents!

I think I've been doing AdSense now for about 7 weeks - fortunately I did have a popular site to start with, so adding the adverts was the easy bit.

Definately I too have found these forums to be invaluable for bringing up some very useful tips of which some have and some haven't contributed to the acelleration of clicks.

Many thanks - and good luck!

$100/day is indeed what I'm hoping to arrive at. That wouldn't be a -huge- income but with the way I have my life setup it'd be more than ample. Even $50/day would be a really good start and take a lot of pressure off.

Of course, without genuine content, AdSense doesn't last too long (unless you're doing something nefarious, in which case you're already clicking on your own adverts one way or another).

I have been struggling for a while to get over the $100 a day mark - so near but yet so far.

I seem to be marooned at the same level for months now!

Congratulations! My site is slightly older, I am with about two dollars a day now - hope you enjoyed learning about website development as much as I did here at WW.

Thanks to everyone for sharing expertise in these forums! Though I still doubt I'll ever make 10 dollars a day, not even thinking of the magical 100.

Congrats. I have my own personal AS account and I basically run the AS program on another site. My site hit $100 a few months ago and is about to break $200 for a month. As long as you progressively get higher, it remains worth it.

The second site is beginning to blow my mind. Just had our first $35.00 day and it looks like it is going up and up.

Your on the right track, set a goal, meet a goal, set a new goal. It can be done!

Congrats. I know what it feels like -- photocopied the first $100+ cheque when it arrived a few weeks ago after eight months. About $50 revenue last month; had first $10 days and broke $50 mark for May today.

Target is $200 per day. But not all my eggs are in the Adsense basket, that is for sure.

it was much harder for me to jump from 1$ to 10$ than from 10$ to 100$ /day

the first progress took 2 months, the other one, 1 week.

still, I'm strugling to acchieve 100$ per day with no web site maintence (goal: getting all traffic from steady links and SEO with no blog update)

Hey All,

It is a great thread to inspire newbies like me. I had a site which was fetching .47$ a day with lots of efforts from me. Now it is just 0$ or .17$. :( I was hoping to get 10$/day., Looks to be impossible. Now I have started another site which is fetching 3$/day from the day 1. Target is to achieve 10$ a day. Unfortunately, I dnt know SOE and not spent a single penny on it in both the sites. Any advices?

Thanks in advance

Hello All,

I made $110 from adsense last month too, instead of creating a new thread, I'll post my little startedgy here.

1) I introduced link ad units to my site and blended them right under the menu links.

2) My website is basically community driven, most of the members were banner-blind, so I used the 4 different color options for leader board. Everytime a topic was opened, adsense came up with a new color scheme.

3) I removed adsense from low CTR pages.

4) I banned MFA's from my competitive ad-filter.(thanks to google for providing such an option.)

All of the above ideas were posted earlier by some fine people at webmaster world. Many thanks to them and of course the webmaster world administration, members for their splendiferous tips on optimizing adsense. Now i'm making $4/day on average from adsense.

I actually am from Pakistan, don't have a father to support my family, neither can I continue to study further due to financial problems here. I'm currently doing a day-time job here as well. Adsense came up like a blessing for me to create a website, make it popular and of course, profitable. I'm now able to afford my studies again due to the adsense revenue that I collect. My day-time job helps in feeding my mom and siblings.

Yeap, now I'm setting up new goals, moved to a VPS (from a shared account) and now I'm planning to introduce new (content-rich) websites.

It is not that difficult to get a lot of clicks on your page if you are selling something on that page that people are hunting for. People come to the page in a "hunting mode" and are ready to click on ads that offer what they are "hunting" for.

If you don't sell the item that they are hunting for at least have ads on your page that lead to some web site that does. So you get a few cents when they leave your site still in that "hunting" mode.

My best money making pages offer something for sale, and have ads on that page that offer the same things for sale.

People that struggle along making a few cents each month are not offering anything on their pages so they don't have money making ads on those pages either.
