I’m new to WW and do not know whether this question has been raised so I post here.

How does the performance of Adsense when it runs in the same site and at the same time in both Adwords and Overture? Which one gives a better ROI? Has any Adsense publisher experienced with both Adwords and Overture give me a light on this?

Thx,

Jenstar

Are you referring about using PPC to drive traffic to your site, and hoping they leave via AdSense? I know there are some members here who do this, perhaps they have some information on what works better for getting them in between AdSense and Overture. Anyone?

Yes, you're correct.

Well at $0.05 and $0.10 minimum bids you would need to design a site that makes people want to leave in a hurry and whose most likely exit would be the adsense ad. Either that or make sure that the content is so well written as to bring out the exact ad that you want everytime.

You would also need to choose a topic that is competitive and has a high EPC. You might think "Hey I know purple widgets is competitive so I am going to make a site about purple widgets" However, you have to account for a couple of things:

1- You might end up with ads for "pink widgets", which pay 1/10th of the purple's EPC due to the targeting algo.

2- You might not get the CTR that you need.

3- In order to get the targeted visitors that would want to click on the "purple widgets" adsense ad, then you will have to bid on "purple widgets". While you can bid the minimum, you will get a small amount of traffic.

I think is possible, just don't expect a lot of money. You are better off creating content and getting the "free SE traffic"
