You have page1.htm and a visitor lands on it. Does Adsense instantly choose the correct adverts or does it take time?

What happens if you change the content of page1.htm - will the new targetted adverts appear instantly on the next visitor or does it take a while for the Adverts to change?

does it take a while for the Adverts to change?

If I recall correctly from an email conversation I had with a senior member of the AdSense support team (helping us solve problems with ad targetting about a year ago), it may take up to several weeks before changes are reflected.

It can be anything between nanoseconds (which we have observed in practice) and a couple of weeks (the official Google line we've been given). If you put some good keywords in the name of the page, it seems that the Adsense bot can pick up on that immediately.

If you make a change to the content of the page, and want the bot to come pay a visit, then make a change to the adsense ads/format. That seems to result in a relatively quick crawl/update (within a day or two at most).

I was wondering if you could send the keyword from adwords as a variable and use that variable to queue up the title and H1 tag of the landing page. what do you think?
