History tells us otherwise that if you want to super succeed, you should put all your eggs in one basket. The richets people put all their eggs in one basket, ie: Bill Gates.
Anyone else putting all their eggs in one basket?
I, however, diversify a little, but still depend a lot on AS. I liken it to MS expanding to hardware ;-).
If you have a large and well developed site, it will include more than adsense.
Assuming that is a given, there are different economic strategies - Profit Maximumization and Risk Minimumization are two opposing strategies. Who wouldn't want to maximize profits? Plenty of people here who rely on organic traffic instead of buying it. With profit maximization, the highs are higher, and the lows are lower.
Specialization and being good at what you do is essential. There are economies of scale from doing the same thing over and over, or have lots of related pages.
I agree. Personally I think I've been overly cautious by having too many sites, so I'm cuting back. I'm trying to spend most of my time these days on just my top sites.
My problems is I really like working on new sites and trying to get them out of the sandbox. That is mentally more challenging to me than just adding pages to existing sites.
I've done alright with affiliate marketing in the past but there is room for improvement.
Does anyone have any advice for sites and blogs that like to mix affiliate marketing ads with Adsense? Where do you think is the best positioning/placements for each type?
