Sussing the value of individual ads

I would very much like to know which ad brings in a few dollars and which is worth just 6c. The channels seem to just report on add blocks. I have seen a third party program that offers this, but wonder...

Q. Would it be legal?
Q. Is there a free way to get the same info?

I don't think it's possible period. Not unless you get an extremely small number of clicks per day, anyways.

I suspect that 3rd party software merely tracks which ads get clicked. There are free versions of this script floating around as well.

Don't click your own ads ...to check and verify this data...... Stay happy with what you get.... To improve quality of ads shown on your site, filter out MFA's ...This normally helps in increasing CPC...

MFA - Made for Adsense pages/sites which have no content/ poor content and are full of adsense....

They play upon the adwords/adsense arbitrage opportunity . In order to be successful they pay pennies and try to reap $$$'s . They have normally higher than normal Click thru rates ( on a/c of good copy etc ) and are placed high by the G algo ( A flaw?).

You will find many threads on this forum regarding the hated MFA , how to block, recommendations by experts/ seniors etc...

Oh, thank you. I think I knew that but forgot. I have blocked quite a few ads that don't seem relevant to my content, but haven't been paying much attention to this lately, and maybe I should be a lot more vigilant again.
