Just wanted to ask from more experienced webmasters how much (percentage) holidays affect your website?

It depends on your topic. I always have less traffic during holidays.

I get less traffic the day before the holiday, but more traffic the day after. Who knows why? It is all part of being self-employed, to expect the ups and downs of daily income.

It depends on the holiday and the audience.

I have a travel site, so I tend to see the biggest drops in traffic or revenues when people are on vacation (since, when they're on vacation, they're unlikely to be planning the next vacation).

Also, a lot of my audience lives in Europe, so European holidays often affect me more than U.S. holidays do (in part because many Europeans get more vacation time than Americans do, which means they're more likely to be away from home over holiday weekends).

yes I would have to say that for me it does depend on the holiday. On the whole though, long weekends are not great for me.
