New topic on old site

Will adsense be relevant?

Hello, I am new in absences so may be somebody more experience may explain.

Three month ago I added the adsense to my small but old and established site. However its topic seems no good for adsense. I earn very little and basically Google confirmed that their bots cannot figure out what adds to supply to me.

I badly need to earn at least $10 /day quickly. So I am planning to add a subdirectory for my site with another topic that, as I believe, is better for adsense. I also plan to make some on topic link to the new directory from the established part to avoid the sandbox.

Questions.
Will adsense target the topic of new directory on the pages of this directory or will it target the whole site?

What it depends on?

Will it help if I, for example, remove adsense from the old part of the site?

Thanks in advance.

Vadim.

Adsense goes entirely on your page content, so setting up a sub directory for new pages is going to be OK.

Your existing site - does it get good traffic? If so, it may be worth spending some time re-writing it so that the bot can target ads. This is because it's easier to integraye adsense into an existing site with good traffic than build a new one and promote it to get the traffic.

What topic is it on (don't post the URL) and what sort of ads do you get?

david_uk, thanks for the reassuring answer.

Unfortunately I have small traffic. It's just about 250 visitors a day (1700 hits).

Previously I did nothing to attract the links, hoping for the natural growth so old pages also actually need the promotions.

The problem with the existing pages, however, is that the ads are not relevant so it may be not so worth to promote for adsense.

Since I am not allow here to post the real topic, let say (not exactly true) that my pages are about the health in general and may be really useful mostly for wealthy people who care about their health (and pretty useless for less wealthy people)

I naively expected that Google will supply the ads for rich people. Instead Google bot tries to figure out the exact topic. It cannot because the ideas are rather new and general. For one page the bot is pretty sure that it is philosophy, for another supplies the adds how to be rich in a second, get slim figure in a few days etc.

Actually theses pages were initially written as the theoretical background for my software, so they may be indeed too general for adsense (though I believe really useful for visitors).

This may be the type of site best suited to Affiliate rather than Adsense advertising.

Thanks, longen.

I thought about the affiliates and may be you are right.

I just have an idea that seems is suitable for adsense and may leverage my knowledge and skill. However, it is out of topic from the exiting site.

Therefore I wonder whether adsense on these new pages will be on topic if I just put them into a separate site directory (and may be link to new pages from the old site part via the interface page that connects two topics together)

I always get relevent ads for pages that are not site-themed, but sometimes the CPC seems to be much lower than might otherwise be.

Thanks longen,
I hope that you low CPC is accidental because I have no money for another host or parked domain .

As for free or cheap hosts, though people here seems tell that it is possible to use free hosts I believe that free or cheap hosts should have some hidden caveats. How otherwise the free hosts make their money for living? In other words I have no experience of free host and afraid to invest my time into them.

Besides new host and new domain name probably will be sandboxed and I have no time to wait.
