I decided to actually check Adsense Search on my website. I searched for a term that is on all my pages and only half my pages show in the "Site Search" results.
So another simple test:
Search the web using my search box for the term "google", no quotes. I see 145,000,000 results. If I use Google directly I see 2,620,000,000 results. If I remove the &pub-12345678912345 from the search command URL I now get 2,620,000,000 results, of course I no longer get credit for my search.
I've located some other WW members that use Adsense Search and see the same limitation using their search query boxes. Again remove the pub-1324134 id and the results are consistent with Google search. Is Google not providing "Big Daddy" results to Adsense searches?
I really don't like the fact that site search does not include all my pages, in fact only slightly more than 50%, so visitors may not find what they search for! For a normal Google search all the pages of the site in question are reasonably indexed.
I'll write to Google soon.
Also I'll try looking into IP's being used for the search results, might be a clue.
P.S. It looks like the dollar click was a fluke! But I was wondering whether in the Adsense Search results, are we seeing all Premium advertisers? The format is that of the premium advertisers.
