NS 6+ used by my uders by some 15%, this is not nothing.
Now I noticed that the default install of 6.1 and 7.1 do not show the ads (just the description line and URL, the clickable link is white).
Is this due to Norton IS 2003 running at the same machine (combo of NS and NIS) or just NS issue?
Thanks, Jens

Hello.

I can verify for you that on netscape 7.1, the adsense ads appear just fine.

Yes, this is definitely an issue with Norton Internet Security blocking the ads [webmasterworld.com] and nothing to do with it being Netscape.

Thanks, but why do they appear in IE6 just fine then? Any tech explanation, resolution?
Thanks, Jens

I've noticed a lot of similar quirks with Netscape 6 & 7 that don't exist in other browsers including Mozilla.

I wouldn't worry about minor issues with either Netscape 6 or 7 very much they don't account for that much traffic. In my case all versions of Netscape combined account for less than 2% of all traffic and my traffic is heavily slanted towards educational intuitions a traditional Netscape haven. Mozilla and even Googlebot account for more hits to my site than all Netscape versions combined.
