google indexing alternative ads

[I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum or in Google News, but since it only really affects AdSense publishers I'm posting here.]

I think Google (GG?) has told people that AdSense doesn't affect Google's search algorithm in any way, but I've noticed Googlebot hitting my AdSense "alternative ads" -- and those ads show up in Google SERPS! I don't think this is good, because my (internal) ads are not designed to work as "stand alone" pages, but rather to fit into the appropriate AdSense slot, and searchers shouldn't be finding them directly.

This may be a result of Google trying to do Javascript evaluation to improve link analysis...

Yes, this problem has been reported before. Earlier this year, Google began following links it found in javascript, so it is not surprising it will follow an alternative ad URL. And it has indexed iframe URLs for a while, although they do usually take a little longer to index than a regularly linked page.
