How long did it take you to reach $100?

I love reading about people taking 5,6,7 months to make their first $100 and then earning suddently rockting and some even making that much a day now.

So how long did it take for you to make the fist $100? Already established sites will have made that figure much sooner of course.

I feel I should clarify -

I originally said it took 2.5 years to get to $100. I thought the topic was asking how long it took to break $100 in one day (which I finally did last week and again today).

So... the truth is it took a couple of months at the beginning (circa 2003) to make a total of $100.

Now I'm making $100 every 2 days (hoping for two [or more] consecutive $100 days soon!).

10 days for my first $100. Now every 36 hrs. Not enough. I was making the same in march of last year. Got excited and open 2 more site (in addition to my current 3) and still making the same money. More work, more page views and same money. :-(

It took me four hours to make my first $100. But my website was already successful before I added AdSense.

On a 9 year old site we used to make up to $260 a day last year .. well that's long ago .. :(

I still haven't broke 100 and it's been 6.5 months now. I must clarify though by saying the site was brand new 6.5 months ago and just recently I have been really starting to put some effort into it. I was averaging $6 a month and then yesterday I made almost $7 in a single day. If that keeps up I won't have trouble making $100 soon. (My site has about 10 articles and is going to be a content driven site).

I used to work a night job doing call-center tech support. When there weren't any calls we could surf the net. I often spent my time reading WebmasterWorld.

One night at 11 PM I signed up for AdSense. Around midnight I placed the code on one of my sites. My shift ended at 1 AM and when I got home about a half hour later, I had already made $5.00. After a few weeks of playing around with ad placement I hit $100 a day, then I quit the tech support job. I've loved Google ever since!

I passed $100 on my sixth day in the program, after I'd had a chance to get the AdSense code onto a majority of my pages. (This was back in June of 2003.)

Mind you, my site already had a solid base of content and traffic when AdSense launched, so I wasn't building from scratch--all I had to was slap the code up on existing pages and let nature (or AdSense) take its course.
