I was shocked to see google ads in the email that I recieved from the major job portal in India...

is it allowed?

I've heard a long time ago that a few publishers have the right to do this. I'm guessing the site that sent you the e-mail was one of them.

It would seem to me to be a logical extension of AdSense. Similar to what Google is doing with gmail.
