More content = more money?

Should I integrate my e-book to expand my site?

I run,

A very niche site and wrote an e-book with about 175 long pages of specific information. I sell it on my site for 20 dollars to download. I also sell it on CD to customers who want it backed up and who don't want to deal with the technical problems of using WinZip.

I'm debating weather or not to integrate the e-book into my web site. It would make the site about 1/3rd larger then it is now if you subtract the message boards.

The e-book makes me a fair amount of money, but a similar site posted freely similar information and my sales have dropped.

So my question is, will adding the e-book as pages of information on my site increase my adsense revenue? The pages of the e-book are a fairly heavy read with lots of technical how-to information and images. My concern is that there aren't many sites that read like a book I can think of to compare the idea with.

What would you guys do in this kind of situation? My site gets about half a million page views per month average as of now.

Depends on how much your sales have dropped, or will drop in the future if your free competitor gets more popular.

Try posting a chapter or two, create an AdSense channel for them, and track the CTR and the eCPM.
