Refreshing page to create content-specific ads

Hi - when I create a new page on my site, or visit one that I haven't been on in awhile, I notice that it sometimes takes several minutes and several page refreshes before the google spider provides ads that are appropriate to the page content.

My question is - by my refreshing the page to bring up the good ads, does this mean that viewers of the page will also now see the appropriate ads? Or is the refreshing I have done only providing me with the ads?

This is probably obvious, but I would love to know how it works.
Many thanks.

You do need to open the page one time as that signals to AdSense that you have added or changed an ad.

I suspect that refreshing the page several times doesn't make any difference, it just seems like it does as the right ads finally come up.

But then I've done the same thing, refresh again and again to see if the ads are up yet.
