Friends clicking on your ads

Hi,

I know that google strictly forbids it but what if a friend goes to your site, say once a week and clicks on a load of the ads?

I don't currently use adsense but am thinking about getting it in the future.

That is click fraud.

IMHO: If you get so few visitors that you need a friend to do that Google would drop you as an advertiser anyhow.

Rightz - This is a pretty touchy subject here. It is very important for you to realize that when someone clicks on an ad on your website Google doesn't just go pick the money tree and give it to you. Google charges an advertiser to pay you. Clicking on an ad with the intent of it being to boost your adsense account is STEALING from advertisers.
It is stealing if you pickpocket someone.
It is stealing if your friend pickpockets someone for you.

It is stealing if you click your adsense ads.
It is stealing if your friends clicks your adsense ads for you.

The usual response to this is "Well, I'll only click on ads that I am interested in. And I'll tell my friends to do the same" So let me cover that now: Who are you kidding? You don't visit a site that you profit from to look at ads. Neither do your friends.

That covers WHY you shouldn't do it, But your question seems to be what happens. In short: You will make about $10-$30 before Google catches on. They will close your account for fraud and your name, physical address, web address will be banned from Adsense.

Sigh. Do yourself a favor right now and skip the website idea. Move on to opening an ice cream stand or something. Seriously, most people never even earn the equivalent of minimum wage with their websites.

I like the minimum wage comment, as last month after almost a year of work, I made after expenses about the UK minumum wage from adsenwe and related income!
Keywords here being YEAR and WORK not CLICK and FRAUD.
